It's a highly readable book, short enough to enjoy over a few days or longer, depending on the reader, and especially good for those who have trouble reading long books because of problems with concentration, pain, time constraints, etc.
A reader will learn about the disease EMS but will also learn especially about ONE person's reactions to life with EMS, all the horrible downs, the hopes still left, and how such a "bizarre" disease can nearly destroy a family. But I think, also, that love and hope emerge as you read about this family's battle.
